We capped off the kids’ spring break with a somewhat last minute day trip to the Kalamazoo Valley Museum – a three-floor, free museum with a planetarium. It was snowing in South Bend and absolutely freezing in Michigan. The museum didn’t have a cafe or snack bar (?!), so when I took to the streets of Kalamazoo in search of peanut butter sandwiches (hello, unprepared), I nearly froze before finding Sarkozy, a cute, cozy bakery that makes pb&j on homemade oatmeal bread. While we were sitting around watching the kids create and color images of the brain and run around, we realized that we are museum people. It takes a while to figure out what kind of parents you are. We are bedtime-crazed museum people.
