Our kids beg for me to stop at Panera or Whole Foods on the way to school. They tell me they’re starving and they act like it’s dire – completely manipulative if you ask me. So we started stuffing little snacks in their winter coats so they can nibble on the way to school. Jake also seems to think that Becca might get hungry at school, so he usually stuffs a little something extra in her pocket – an apple slice that’s sure to rot, some goldfish crackers that will likely turn to crumbs. At least they’ve stopped telling me they’re so hungry on the way to school (after multiple bowls of Cheerios in the morning).
